And if we care this much about how it's grown, just imagine how much we care about how it tastes.  Suggested use Get Cooking This rice is raw and must be cooked to unlock its deliciousness. Using a fine mesh sieve, rinse 1 cup rice under cold water for 1 minute and drain Combine rice, 2 cups water or broth, and 1 Tbsp. butter or oil (optional, but very tasty) in a 2 qt. saucepan and bring to a boil. Cover with a tight-fitting lid. Reduce heat to maintain a low simmer and cook for 45 minutes. With lid on, remove from heat and let steam for 10 minutes. Fluff it up with a fork and dig in. Serves 4-5.TIP: If rice is too firm at the end of cooking, no big deal!
