McKesson contact layer dressings are sterile, versatile dressings that can be used on a variety of different wounds when used with an outer absorbent dressing. The thin transparent dressing is made from polyurethane film and silicone gel with an open perforated structure. These dressings conform to the shape of the wound, while the open perforated structure allows exudate to pass vertically into the outer absorbent dressing and enables easy delivery of topical to treatments. They limit the outer absorbent dressing from sticking to the wound or the skin around the wound.
