About this item The HACHIEMON RYOBA Japanese Hand Saw is produced using traditional Japanese techniques such as "asari-kako" (saw tooth setting) and "suki-kenma" (a special grinding method), so it's incredibly sharp and glides right through whatever wood you're cutting. Thanks to its double edge, it can be used effectively for both crosscuts and rip cuts. Since the blade is impulse hardened (by rapidly alternating hot and cold temperatures) for increased hardness and plated with electroless nickel, it's extremely durable and resistant to corrosion. In order to keep saw blade resistance to a minimum, the company logo is printed on with lasers.
